Double Entry
Many of our tournaments allow double entry, or entry into two events. In a single-flighted tournament, this means that the student will compete in two events in each round. Although double entry may seem intimidating, if you follow the steps below, things will go smoothly:
- Go to the room of one of your events at the beginning of round 1.
- Let the judge know you are double entered and ask if you may speak last in that room.
- Then go to your other event room and let that judge know you are double entered and ask if you may speak first in that room.
- Speak first and then politely ask if you may be excused.
- Go back to your other event room and wait quietly outside the door until there is no one speaking.
- Enter quietly between speakers and wait for your turn.
- Repeat for all rounds two, three, and hopefully finals.
- Great job double entering!
